An economy graduate of the Mossinger Institute in Zurich, Goran Lazarevski holds a master’s degree in international management. As a manager of leading companies, he worked on business transparency and ethics, corporate governance, operational management, finance, sales, marketing, research and development in ICT and distribution. He is founder and president of the national body for corporate social responsibility, holding managerial positions in the public and civil sectors.
On the USAID project for the development of investments and the promotion of exports, in charge of public-private dialogue, he worked with the public, private and civil sectors on mechanisms for dialogue and the ENER platform for an inclusive approach in law-making. As Chief of Party of USAID’s project on innovation and inclusion in microfinance and director of the Alliance of Microfinance Organizations, he worked on financial education, digitalization, employee training, lobbying and advocacy, working with regulators and civil society to improve existing legislation and introduce new policies.
As Chief of Party of USAID’s Civic Participation Project, he worked with over 80 civic sector organizations, the business community and public sector stakeholders, including the cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister for good governance and the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, to strengthen civic participation and transparency, responsibility and accountability, anti-corruption and good governance at the local and central level in strong partnership with non-governmental organizations in various areas. He is currently working with the Deputy Prime Minister for good governance and the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption as local expert on anticorruption policies.
