ONLINE CONFERENCE: LABOR LEGISLATION DURING COVID-19 CONDITIONS AND THE EFFECTS FROM THE IMPLEMENTATION OF REGULATIONS FOR LABOR RELATIONS ADOPTED DURING THE PANDEMIC
In order to have a proper and uniform application of the regulations in the field of labor relations during COVID-19 circumstances, USAID’s Modernizing the Inspection Authorities Project, implemented by IDEAS DePo, organized an online conference, in partnership with the State Labor Inspectorate and the Labor Law Association.
In addition to preventing the spread of the virus, functioning of the labor market and proper application of the labor legislation in practice are among the biggest challenges we are facing with, from the beginning of March 2020 until today.
On September 24, 2020, the inspectors from the State Labor Inspectorate took the opportunity to consult with a wider range of stakeholders in this area, such as Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, State Employment Agency, Professors at the Department of Labor Law at the Faculty of Law – Iustinianus Primus (University of St. Cyril and Methodius), Lawyers, representatives from public enterprises, The Organization of Employers of Macedonia (OEM), as well as the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, and to exchange new information, views and experiences, in order to reach common conclusions and recommendations for future actions.
